Hey just wanted to update everybody on some upcoming events in Children’s Church!

This Sunday is our quarterly Beyond Us Offering. In celebration of that we will be handing out free donuts and juice to all the kids that come. Don’t forget to bring you change when you come so that you can participate in the offering. This is an excellent opportunity to bless those less fortunate than ourselves.

Also, this Sunday is the kick-off of Mega Sports Camp 2009 – The Journey!! We will be having evening services for kids ages 5-12 Sunday through Thursday. Services will begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8:00 pm. This is a communty event so feel free to bring as many visitors as you can. We will have different sports that the kids can participate in, bounce houses on Wednesday, free snacks will be provided at each service, and there will be a raffle prize every night.

Can’t wait to see everyone on Sunday!

We had an excellent turn out for the easter egg hunt this year. Congratulations to the winners of the raffle. Two bikes, two ipods, and two PSPs were given away.

As you know the Beyond Us offering was taken a couple weeks ago and the Children’s group alone brought in over $200. GREAT JOB GUYS!

Here are a couple reminders for everyone. Mother’s Day is this Sunday May 10th. Go out and get your mom something nice cause she deserves it . Also coming up is Baptisim Sunday May 17th. If you feel that you are ready to take the next step and would like to be baptized, sign up with Pastor Sue.

Don’t forget to save your change for the Buddy Barrel offering every 4th Sunday of the month.

Easter

Easter is fast approaching and we are well on our way to having 12,000 eggs. The Saturday before Easter, April 11, we will be having an Easter egg hunt open to the community. In addition to the egg hunt, families will also be able to have a spring family picture taken. Please feel free to join us on April 11, 2009 and bring all your family and friends.

This Sunday the first person to bring 4 new visitors to children’s church will win a pair of tickets to the Jonas Brothers 3-D concert experience. A pair of tickets will also be given to the person who brings the most candy to children’s church. The tickets are for the 7:30 showing Monday night March 9, 2009.

P.S. Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night.

Kids U

Kids U is scheduled for March 13-14, 2009. Kids U is held at a church in Modesto, CA and is attended by churches from Northern California and Nevada. This is a great opportunity for kids to meet people from other churches and show what talents they have. This will be our 5th year attending kids U and we are very excited to go back. Practices for Kids U are currently being held on Sundays from 12:30 to 1:30. If there is anyone who would like to show a talent at Kids U Pastor Sue would be happy to help you get registered.
