Many of the women of Our Time have been looking to the importance of this scripture in James 4:14, where is says, “You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” We have always known that we have a mandate to make this moment count, however, if we are just a vapor, a wisp that goes by that fast on this planet, we had better make our time count! So it is with increased urgency that we are building the hearts of the women of our church. Through in depth Bible Studies and learning times together, we are enlarging our capacities, we are reaching out to our world to give and to help more. We are not content any longer to sit with the ranks on the sidelines in life, but we are throwing ourselves into the game.
This week I have seen women get in the game by helping and loving children at Mega Sports Camp. I have seen women choose to get back in the game after realizing that they are done with their needed time out. I have seen women get in the game by encouraging others to do a really tough Bible study that takes tenacity. I have seen women get in the game by voicing their gratitude in emails. I have seen women in the game when they love their families with all their strength. I have seen women in the game when they face illness with dignity and courage.
And when I see these women in the game, I see that they are BEAUTIFUL!
