I’m so excited — our adventure to Godchicks is only a week away and all the details are falling into place. Brenda has done an amazing job getting all the reservations — from conference tickets, to the bus rides, to the hotel rooms, to presents! It will be an amazing time to get away and let God speak into our hearts away from normal life. For some reason we seem to listen more intently when we are away from regular routines. I know there will be surprises along the way, some possible mishaps, I’m sure, but that’s what an adventure is all about. The Unknown!
I was struck just yesterday thinking about God. How infinite He is. He is the Unknown, yet makes himself known to us. He gives us glimpses. He gives us opportunities we don’t deserve. 2 Samuel 22:36 says, “…you stoop down to make me great.” What? God stoops down to me? How ridiculous to consider. How truly amazing. What a privelge it is to be a child of the King, and to realize that the God of this universe cares about me.
I am so excited for this weekend! God really showed himself through the worship yesterday – what a powerful experience. I’m praying that God shows himself in exceptional ways this weekend – to each amazing Our Time woman who attends. He has special plans for all of us, and I can’t wait to see what happens.
God has stooped down to me…God seems to care that I (& my teenage daughter) make it to Godchicks. The desire of my heart is to go, run for it, go forth, take posession of the GC conference so He moved for me! So tenderly loving He is! I got a call today that a friend is not able to go & she offered me to buy her specially priced tickets YAY! Now I need your prayers that ‘Yes & Amen’ lodging would be taken care of also. Thank You Sweet Jesus
